Job Description

Our Fast Specialties Automotive Service Assistants play a key role in driving business by expertly recommending and selling necessary services to our valued customers while building meaningful longlasting relationships.
Automotive Service Assistant Compensation and Benefits:
Automotive Service Assistant Competitive Salary:$25.00/hr
Generous Paid Time Off (PTO):We prioritize worklife balance offering industryleading PTO. New fulltime employees accrue 4 hours per pay period totaling approximately 96 hours in the first year with increases over time.

Paid Holidays: We offers 5paid holidays per year to Automotive Service Assistant subject to completion of the introductory period and other eligibility requirements as per company policy.
Fast Specialties Automotive Service Assistant Responsibilities:
- Greets customers in a timely friendly manner and obtains vehicle information.
- Refers to service history inspects vehicles and recommends additional needed service.
- Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
Checks onthe progressof repair throughout the day. - Contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time explains cost and time requirements indetailand gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
- Reviews repair orders to ensure that work is completed and additional work and authorizationisnoted. Closes repair order as appropriate.
- Explains completed work and all charges to customers.
- Assists all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly professional and efficient manner.
- Informs customers of companion part requirements and specials and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
- Answers phone calls providing price quotes and other information.
- Pulls and fills orders from stock.
- Notifies parts manager of outofstock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
- Locates outofstock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order if necessary.
- Notifies the service advisor and the customer when special ordered parts have been received.
- Follows up on backordered parts.
- Makes sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
- Keeps front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered.
- Participates in all training programs that are made available.
- Keeps current on new products and product updates.
Fast Specialties Automotive Service Assistant Qualifications:
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Physical ability to use computer hardware/software.
- Team player with a positive attitude and ability to collaborate in a teamoriented process.
- Must maintain clean driving record and be insurable with company insurance.
