Job Description
Bachelors degree; prefer degree in Exercise Science Kinesiology Physical Education Recreation or a related field. 12 years of relevant experience in a recreation or fitnessbased environment. Strong leadership customer service teambuilding and decisionmaking skills. Ability to take initiative solve problems and meet deadlines. Ability to function independently and as a member of a team in a constantly changing environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively. Current CPR AED and First Aid certification or the ability to obtain certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in Exercise Science Kinesiology Physical Education Recreation or a related field. Certification from a nationally accredited fitness organization (e.g. ACSM ACE AFFA NSCA NASM USA Weightlifting or similar). First Aid CPR / AED Instructor Certification. Experience with collegiate fitness and wellness programs including group exercise personal training and wellness events. Proven success in marketing recreation programs to increase participation.
