About the Role:
This position provides general labor at the Landfills/Transfer Stations in King County. These employees perform skilled work by safely operating power and hand tools like slope grade control lasers power drill power driver chain saw eater and walkbehindmower to perform vegetation control and minor maintenance on equipment and facilities. This is not an entry level position. This is not an entry level position.

Get ready to work with this fun team who are action oriented and high energy! The team is challenged daily with different locations responsibilities and work. At any given time you will work side by side with 23 members. You will have an opportunity to partner with Landfill Gas Operator and Wastewater Treatment Operator crews while picking up new skills/gaining new knowledge working closely with them. What You Will Be Doing:
Assist with the installation of construct and mend chain link fencing.
Clean ditches catch basins culverts and drain pipe.
Dig ditches by hand.
Shovel gravel asphalt and dirt; rake asphalt and tar pavement joints.
Lift carry move or handle up to 70pound bags tools equipment and other objects to complete any of the above functions.
Maintain and operate a variety of hand and power tools (i.e. chain saw eater and walkbehindmower).
Perform related work as required.
Qualifications You Bring:
Demonstrated knowledge of and relevant work experience safely operating power and hand tools to perform vegetation control.
Knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment.
Good oral and written communication skills.
