At OCU Group were looking for an ambitious handson Electrical Improver to join our fastgrowing team based in Neath South Wales. This role isnt your typical 95 its your chance to get stuck into exciting projects across the UK so the ability and willingness to travel is essential.
Whether youre experienced in industrial environments like UKPN National Grid SPEN or just starting out in your journey and eager to learn we want to hear from you!
What Youll Be Doing
- Installing and maintaining cable containment systems (tray ladder etc.
- Gladding terminating & testing SWA cables
- Control panel wiring and electrical faultfinding
- Supporting HV/LV installations & maintenance
- Working closely with engineers and project teams to deliver excellence
- Promoting and maintaining a strong health & safety culture
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
- Supporting national projects travel is part of the adventure!
What Were Looking For
Were open on experience if youre reliable eager to grow and love solving problems were listening. Some skills that would help you hit the ground running:
- Experience in an electrical improver role or relevant industry knowledge
- Understanding of safe systems of work within substations
- Confidence using tools interpreting drawings and working independently or as part of a team
- Relevant certs like EUSR Confined Space IPAF PASMA are a bonus
- Any DNO or HV experience Thats a big plus!
