Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Writer Developer Advocate to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background exceptional communication skills and the ability to create clear concise documentation for both technical and nontechnical audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Documentation Creation: Develop and maintain user manuals installation guides API documentation and online help content.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers developers product managers and SMEs to gather technical information and ensure accuracy.
- Content Simplification: Translate complex technical concepts into easytounderstand content for various audiences including nontechnical users.
- Standards and Style: Ensure all documentation aligns with established style guides branding guidelines and industry standards.
- User Feedback: Incorporate feedback to improve documentation quality and usability.
- Visual Content: Create diagrams flowcharts and other visuals to enhance the comprehensibility of technical documents.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement best practices for creating and maintaining technical documentation.
Skills Required:
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git).
- Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Java PHP TypeScript HTML/CSS) is a plus.
- Experience with APIs SDKs and developerfacing documentation is highly preferred.
- Writing Skills: Exceptional ability to write clearly and concisely for diverse audiences.
- Research Skills: Proficiency in gathering and synthesizing information including interviewing SMEs.
- Attention to Detail: Strong editing and proofreading skills to ensure accuracy.
- Domain knowledge in content and commerce is an added advantage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.
- 45 years of experience in technical writing or developer advocacy roles.
