Job Description
Apprenticely is helping Highland Pellets hire a Control Room Operatorin Pine Bluff AR.
About the Employer:
Role and Responsibilities
- Operate plant functions from the control room under the direction of the control room lead operator
- Manage chip feed fuel feed furnace dryer and secondary sizing
- Manage and monitor various levels and feed rates as instructed by the control room lead operator
- Monitor spark detection system
- Multitask with equipment alarms
- Keeps detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation
- Ensure all work is performed in a timely and safe manner
- Utilize skills to improve equipment optimization and reliability
- Maintain logs record labor material and equipment used
- Meticulous attention to detail; able to follow both written and verbal instructions
- Perform other related duties and serve as a backup resource as assigned
- Submit reports in accordance with reporting directives
Details to know:
- High school diploma or equivalent education; trade school or college preferred.
- One year of inplant manufacturing experience
- Ability to work independently and utilize critical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills to generate and implement solutions throughout the process
- Must have proficient computer skills
- Knowledge or ability to learn how to operate HMI touchscreens
- Must possess basic math skills
- Must maintain compliance with all LOTO confined space hot work and working at heights policies
- OSHA 10 training and experience
- Ability to work extended hours to include nights weekends and holidays
- Ability to continuously walk or stand bend squat climb stairs and lift items above shoulders
- Ability to work outdoors rotating shifts and lift 50 pounds required
$20 $22 an hour
