THE DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGICAL AND BRAIN SCIENCES at VILLANOVA UNIVERSITY invites applications for a TENURE TRACK POSITION ASSISTANT PROFESSOR in COGNITIVE PSYCHOLOGY starting in August 2024. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in psychology or a closely related discipline with specialization in cognitive psychology and should have a strong publication record the ability to generate a highquality research program and a commitment to teaching in our undergraduate and graduate (M.S. programs including mentorships of masters theses in our rigorous researchoriented program. We seek candidates whose research teaching and service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to engagement and inclusion of culturally diverse students and to the diversity and excellence of our academic community. Duties And Responsibilities
Establish and maintain a highquality research program leading to publication in respected outlets. Contribute to the departments teaching efforts establishing skillful classroom teaching and student mentoring. Teaching responsibilities likely will include cognitive psychology introductory psychology and other assignments determined by faculty member interests and department/program needs. Provide formal and informal academic advisement to students in accordance with department standards. Be an active member of our department college and university.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must have earned or be near completion of a Ph.D. in psychology or a closely related discipline with a specialization in cognitive psychology or closely related research area.
