Art & Photography Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified teacher of Art and Design with experience of teaching Photography and the ability to lead the development of Photography within the department.
- An understanding of the purpose and use of assessment procedures and an ability to maintain accurate records to track and support pupil progress.
- A commitment to inclusive education and the raising of aspiration and achievement.
Art & Photography Teacher Role:
- Embed creativity critical thinking and practical skills in your practice.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and artistic expression.
- Lead or support creative clubs exhibitions and schoolwide projects to enhance students artistic and technical abilities.
- To model high expectations of pupil behaviour and demonstrate a range of strategies for supporting pupils who may be challenging.
The Art and Photography department has excellent facilities situated in five purposebuilt Art rooms including a 6th Form area and a Photography Studio. As an Art & Photography Teacher at this school you will make use of two darkrooms and a kiln room.
