Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Counselor to support students academic social and emotional wellbeing. The ideal candidate will provide guidance counseling and resources to help students navigate challenges and achieve success in school and beyond.
Essential Functions
- Provide individual and group counseling to support students emotional and social development
- Assist students in developing academic goals
- Identify and address behavioral issues collaborating with teachers and parents/guardians
- Conduct crisis intervention and provide referrals to external resources when necessary
- Support students in conflict resolution peer relationships and decisionmaking
- Collaborate with school staff to create a safe and supportive learning environment
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records
Position Qualifications
- Masters degree in School Counseling
- MD State certification/licensure as a School Counselor
- Experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred
- Strong communication problemsolving and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with students parents and faculty
Range: $42500 $85000 Annualized
