Negotiate with dedicated providers according to specific policies. Achieve the best contractual conditions while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction. Indepth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Indepth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Strictly adhere to the compliances around sourcing policies and process of the business Work closely with researchers in understanding the technical requirements of the items being ordered
- Identify the list of suitable/competitive vendors who meets the technical & quality requirements
- Negotiate with them to get the best pricing payment terms timely and quality delivery of the products and/or services
- Float bids / RFQs / RFPs with various vendors on high value procurements Timely conversion of requisition into Purchase orders to help the researchers execute their projects on basis
- Draft SOW & contracts and execute the same post review with business legal
- Entering into competitive rate cards with vendors for repetitive supplies/services
- Bringing new & competitive vendors to the biz Followup with vendors for various shipments (domestic & international) along with logistics team;
- Maintain & review periodic dashboard with Leadership of various activities performed Eg. TAT deflation achieved etc
- Any policy or process exceptions are clearly documented with prior approval from the leadership
- Periodic review of open commitments and closure of Purchase Orders wherever deliveries are completed
- Support any audit related queries on sourcing areas (STAT or Internal) with necessary data & explanations
- Define and improve Sourcing strategies at business level. Developing indepth knowledge of a discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired expertise to execute functional policy/strategy.
- A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills. The role operates with some autonomy but is focused on of activities/provision of advice within an enabling discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Activities require professional judgment but may require more senior levels of guidance.
- Utilize technical expertise and judgement to solve problems. Leverage technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems
Required Qualifications
- This role requires advanced experience in the Sourcing & Sourcing Management. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college.
- This role also requires experience in procurement from global suppliers of the engineering/Software products and related customs implications. Good knowledge in the areas of India tax structure on procurements labour compliance MSME compliance is an added advantage.

- Strong oral and written communication skills. Influencing skills to negotiate for the best price and terms with vendors. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document plan and execute programs. Established project management skill.
