ABOUT US
TheMaxwell Underground Mine owned byMalabar Resources Ltdhas commenced operations at their Hunter Valley site with production projected of up to 8 million tonnes of coal per annum. With a long life the underground mine targets high quality coal with the majority being metallurgical coal.

ABOUT THE ROLE
To support our ongoing growth we currently have a number of opportunities to join our Team as a Deputy. If successful in this role you will collaborate with a dynamic team demonstrating strong leadership to promote a robust safety culture while maintaining a strong focus on continuous improvement problemsolving and upholding high standards. Your responsibilities would include:
- Ensuring adherence to Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Driving and delivering production targets.
- Supervise of maintenance schedules in compliance with statutory and site regulations.
- Conducting statutory and compliance inspections as required by legislation.
- Emphasizing waste reduction and costsaving initiatives.
- Deliver effective communication to workers
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role you will:
- Minimum 3 years experience in Underground Coal Mining.
- NSW Practicing Certificate to perform the role of Deputy Undermanager or Manager of Underground Coal Mines.
- Demonstrated ability to meet production targets.
- Sound report writing skills.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and strong communication skills.
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability in hazard awareness and identification and incident management
- Cert IV in Workplace Training and Assessment would be advantageous.
