Job Description

Job Description Summary

Based at the HVDC Centre of Excellence in Stafford UK the role gives an excellent opportunity for a motivated candidate to innovate expand their technical skills and develop personally within an internationally recognised company in the renewables and grid sectors.

As the successful candidate you will be part of a cohort of interns working within a 12month development plan that allows them to stretch outside of their core academic background that prepares them for successful careers.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Main electrical circuit design
  • Electrical insulation coordination studies Transient & RMS Studies.
  • Equipment lifecycle management
  • Reliability availability and maintainability studies
  • Electrical losses management
  • Filter design
  • Solution development and industrialisation

The Person:

  • The successful candidate will ideally have completed / demonstrated years of degree level study in a related field such as Electrical Power Systems and Power Electronics or equivalent experience and be predicted to obtain at least a 2:1 at Bachelors level or equivalent knowledge or experience.
  • Needs to be eligible to work in the UK. No Visa support will be provided.
