As a Risk Manager in the Retail Bank Risk Office at Capital One youll be responsible for working with business partners to identify assess and mitigate potential risks to Capital One. Risk Managers at Capital One are the front line of defense to ensure our Company remains stable and profitable. This role will focus on risks controls and change management within Enterprise Payments. Youll play a key role in ensuring that millions of customers interact with their money in a wellmanaged fashion by working closely with business partners to manage the risks associated with payments.
Risk Managers at Capital One are highly motivated risk professionals with excellent problem solving critical thinking organizational and communication skills. They have a high level of exposure across lines of business and have the opportunity to create and implement innovative solutions to identify and mitigate potential risks to the Company.
Responsibilities:
Change Management From intake through to delivery drive change management principles and activities in support of multiple endtoend payment projects
Risk Consulting Provide advice and guidance to line of business leaders on risks impacting one or more areas within Enterprise Payments Horizontal teams
Client Management Develop and leverage key relationships with Enterprise Payments and functional stakeholders to enable collaboration across the enterprise
Issues Management Identify and track issues and events to mitigate risk within Enterprise Payments. Coordinate with applicable business areas to define and implement remediation activities

Basic Qualifications:
At least 3 years of financial services risk management experience
At least 3 years of payments operations experience or risk management experience
At least 3 years of experience supporting partnering and interacting with internal business clients
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree
4 years of Risk Management experience leading cross functional projects and programs
4 years of Change Management experience
Certification within the payments industry (AAP APRP)

The minimum and maximum fulltime annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for parttime roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean VA: $146100 $166700 for Risk ManagerCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
