Job Description

General Purpose:

To promote and support GLOCK Professional Inc. products worldwide as safe legitimate and the best design available for a variety of uses e.g. self defense sport law enforcement and military use with the most dependable and efficient customer service possible

Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Administers the GLOCK Professional Inc. training courses to Federal State and Local Law Enforcement agencies the United States Military and other approved entities
  • Communicates with the Administrative Supervisor Training Coordinator regarding the scheduling of classes
  • Review and update GLOCK Professional Inc. course outlines and training class materials
  • Supports training through research and development of programs and techniques
  • Supervise communicate and coordinate with firearm Instructors on their training and travel schedules
  • Supervise the Administrative GSSF Field Operations and Facility Supervisors & staffs
  • Administers the GSSF match programs (Outdoor & Indoor)
  • Assists in the development and administration of the company security program
  • Responsible for the initial budget and plans for the Training Division / GSSF and monitoring of the same
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in the Training and GSSF Departments
  • Field Staff and Facility Supervisors and Outside Firearm Instructors in accordance with the companys policies and applicable laws
  • Responsibilities include recommendations of hiring and firing employees training employees; planning assigning and directing work conducting employee performance reviews; rewarding and disciplining employees addressing complaints and resolving problems

Education and/or Experience:

5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Must have outstanding firearm safety knowledge

Must be able to verify the components and/or design of various firearms

Some knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions.

Be a selfstarter and use own initiative to handle areas of responsibility

Ability to manage and supervise people impartially and fairly

Ability to identify and effectively resolve problems

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively

Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Ability to travel frequently by car or plane and be away from home for extended periods

Licenses and Certifications:

Valid Drivers License

Physical Demands:

While performing the responsibilities of this job the employee is regularly required to stand walk stoop kneel go prone and bend. The employee is required to use fingers and hands to pistols. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 100pounds. The noise level in the work environment ranges from moderately quiet to extremely loud. Personal safety protective equipment is required. The individual must be able to pass a shooting proficiency qualification test with the equipment provided at the time of the interview and annually.

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures dirt dust fumes smoke and unpleasant odors. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud. Hearing protection and eye protection are required for all firing range activities.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a fulltime position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. but may require some work outside of these hours.
