The Department of Psychology at Saint Josephs College of Maine invites applications for anAdjunct Instructor position in Psychology.The adjunct instructor will teach 1 psychologybased course Personality in the Fall 2025 semester with the possibility to teach an additional course in Spring 2026.
The Department of Psychology seeks to enhance the intellectual and social growth of students and to develop a critical mindset for its students through academic rigor and a significant involvement in the learning process. The Department provides a plethora of opportunities to develop critical thinking skills practice social research enhance professional communication skills develop a stronger sense of how to support wellbeing in your life and improve awareness of global issues.
This adjunct position will require a teaching load of 4 credits per semester
Minimum Qualifications:
A Masters in Psychology; PhD preferred
Relevant teaching experience in Personality Psychology
Commitment to using uptodate and best practice pedagogical methods including syllabus and curriculum design
Willingness to prioritize student learning and to form genuine connections with students
