Job Summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an Personnel Security Specialist III/IV. As a member of the Personnel Security team youwill be responsiblefor the administration and compliance of personnel security clearances and accesses. You willsupportthe corporation inmeeting mission requirements byensuring allsecurity clearancesareproperly processed to government customers. You will provide onsite support for all security actions in accordance with corporate and governmental polices and directives.

Work Model

This is a fulltime position based in El Segundo CA which requires 100 onsite work.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Administers executes and ensures adherence to company and governmentregulationspoliciesand procedures regarding the protection ofgovernmentprograms.
  • Conducts SCI security indoctrinationbriefings foreign travel briefings and termination debriefings.
  • Assists in designing implementing and conducting security training briefings and education programs.
  • Working on variouscomplexgovernment and internal databases.
  • Processes security clearances and accesses in accordance with government regulationsprovides guidance on the completion ofsecurity paperworkand tracks all clearance submissions.
  • Provides management with clearance status reports
  • Conducts fingerprintingprocesses visit requests and reports incidents to government customers.
  • Maintainssecurity clearance records tracking and metrics.
  • Interface with government customerscontractorsemployeesandall levels of management.
  • Handles Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and must possess discretionin handling clearance information.
  • Conducts selfinspections/audits in compliance with government regulations.
  • Submits incident reports to government customers provides guidance on reporting responsibilities and assists employees with clearance issues.
  • Updates and writes procedures and corporate policies.

What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirementsfor the Personnel Security Specialist II:

  • High School Diploma or equivalentand 2 years of experience
  • Current DoD Secretclearancewith theability to obtain and maintainaTS/SCI. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
  • Knowledge ofgovernmentsecurity regulations
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of handling sensitive but unclassified information
  • Be customer service orientated and able to multitask
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

In addition to the above the minimum requirements for the Personnel Security Specialist III include:

  • 5 years of experience
  • Knowledge of DISS or other government clearance databases

  • Bachelorsormastersdegree
  • Current TS/SCI eligibility with adjudicated poly
  • Completion of the FSO certification for Possessing facilities
  • Knowledge of DISS NBIS and SIMS databases

The gradebased pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education experience knowledge and skills.
