PAYMENTS EXECUTIVE

About the Role

We are looking for a Payment Executive who embodies exceptional interpersonal skills exudes professionalism and maintains a positive cando attitude. The ideal candidate is characterised by a friendly and approachable demeanor with exceptional attention to detail. As a Payment Executive the ability to adapt empathise and problemsolve will be key in ensuring a seamless and delightful customer experience.

You will be working with the Payments Manager and be responsible for the processing of payments ensuring they are made within scheduled time frames. Speedy resolution of queries. Take action in resolving incidents in a timely manner work with senior management and risk to minimise repeated occurrences. Collaborate with stakeholders in making process improvements or enhancements to the customer journey

Responsibilities:

Processing daily payments via Vitesses inhouse systems & external Banking partners

Ensure all payments tasks are completed accurately and within a timely manner.

Continuously develop understanding of payment settlement and system workflows acting as a subject matter expert making sure adequate documentation is in place and remain up to date

Identify improvements and suggest solutions for the operations system and workflow and communicating to Operations Manager

Support Product and Tech Teams to address issues during development /testing phases

Help build and maintain the reputation of Operations

Identifying nonstandard payments and account behaviour and finding short/long term solutions

Develop subject matter expertise of Vitesses endtoend payment flow through system and payout routes

Conducting daily checks on processes and escalating when required

Working closely with Operational Control teams to ensure prompt closure or escalation of exceptions

Proactively engage Support Service and Commercial teams for a processing issues with client impact



Requirements

This role would suit someone with experience in a back office operations or treasury based role such as payments settlements.

Skills

Minimum of 2 years professional experience gained within Financial Services preference for backgrounds in a payments treasury or settlements function

Attention to detail and accuracy

Awareness of 1st line controls

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Sense of urgency

Strong analytical skills

Accustomed to working in a fastpaced environment

Confidence to work independently but also as part of the wider Operations team

Strong Excel skills

Organisational skills

Problem analysis and solving skills
