REMOTE or HYBRID: This role is based remotely but if you live within a 50mile radius of Cadillac Tower Warren MI or Austin Technical Center in Austin TX you are expected to report to that location three times a week at minimum. This job may be eligible for relocation.

General Motors Marketing Product team is seeking an individual who willleveragetheir experience and excitement for building analytics tools and technology to act as aTechnical Product Manager Tagging & Instrumentation.

To be a successful Product Manager focused on tagging you will comfortable working closely with business stakeholders and translating their site experience designs and learning plans into technical requirements. Youll be familiar with basic building blocks of modern websites (HMTL CSS JavaScript) to design and document requirements for technical teams to build website data layers. Youll have a strong understanding of how endusers will leverage analytics tools like Adobe Analytics / Customer Journey Analytics to create powerful dashboards and insights.

In this role you will create tagging plans and partner closely with technology teams across GM to tag digital properties like sites and apps and make sure that the data is captured accurately and sent to downstream applications. Youll also work closely with technical teams to make sure that site releases are planned and tested to maintain data quality consistency over time.

Roles and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Create data capture / tagging documentation to support all GM sites apps experiences to deliver quality accurate and highly usable analytics data. Includes vehicle brand sites brand apps shopping and account experiences.
• Document tagging plans in Confluence and work with development teams to ensure they are implemented and QAd
• Develop and document Adobe Analytics / CJA report suite design setup and maintenance
• Work with vendors partners to implement Tag Management Rules / WebSDK to capture and syndicate data in Adobe / Azure platforms.
• Partner with enterprise analytics teams to develop data schemas and ingestion patterns to democratize access to clickstream data in the cloud
• Work across multiple agile teams and with their respective product owners own the product life cycle and roadmap for data capture and prioritize features by ranking them against the strategic goals and initiatives with clear requirements for each feature and designed user experience.
• Work closely with engineering marketing reporting analysts and user experience to define requirements and use cases.
• Ensure data capture solutions are compliant with Privacy Regulations (e.g. CCPA)
• Evangelize the value of enterprise data capture standards and solutions across GM and drive toward complete implementation / adoption

Required Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in a combination of analytics development analytics design tagging strategy consulting product analytics or an equivalent field.
• Bachelors degree required preferred in Technology (computer science computer engineering applied math statistics engineering or other quantitative field)
• 3 years of experience working with Adobe Analytics (comparable experience in Google Analytics will be considered)
• 3 years of experience implementing / configuring / customizing tags with emphasis on marketing / site optimization
• Experience implementing tagging in using a tag manager (e.g. Launch DTM Tellium)
• Experience configuring and enhancing the digital data object (data layer)
• Proven experience product managing an analytics or data platform preferably Adobe Launch.
• Proficiencyin HTML CSS JavaScript SQL and relational databases
• Proven experience working directly with digital product leadership in an agile environment.
• Expert communicator in written and verbal form; ability to work well with product managers technologists and peers and ability to lead and influence across all levels of the organization.
• Strategic problem solver who simplifies problems to their core elements and finds creative solutions.
• Getitdone mindset with a strong bias towards action.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of APIs and relevant related technologies e.g. JSON REST
• Ecommerce domain knowledge and experience
• Indepth knowledge of all components of Adobe Analytics platform implementation including tags plugins campaigns server call types cookies site catalyst variables (props eVars events) universal tags Data Connectors solution design reference (SDR) XDM schema calculated metrics Link Tracking etc.

• The salary range for this role is $94800 $151400 . The actual basesalary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
