Job Description

Description

The Sr. Trade Compliance Specialist provides support across Test & Measurement in areas of importing export supplychain security and other related areas of Trade Compliance! This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with numerous technical legal and regulatory requirements associated with the companys cross border movement of goods and services to mitigate risk and optimize the financial impact of the companys trade compliance activities through trade program management. This position works closely with the Director of Global Trade Compliance and other global team members for the Test & Measurement business!

Responsibilities:

  • Monitors daytoday activities across functional groups which support import and export activities
  • Serves as the main liaison for import transactions with the U.S. Customs Broker and Carriers
  • Supports determination of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) and Country of Origin (COO) determination
  • Conduct internal audits and investigation for Trade Compliance as needed
  • Participate and support Trade Compliance system automation initiatives
  • Execute and implement companywide initiatives in establishing a continuous trade compliance improvement philosophy and culture with a strong internal and external customer focus
  • Must have strong problemsolving skills and analytical capabilities
  • Demonstrate detail to accuracy
  • Work with the Global Trade Compliance Team to execute strategy to support a bestinclass trade compliance program

For this role you will need:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent in International Trade Legal Business Finance or related field with relevancy to a compliance role
  • Excellent oral and written English language skills other languages are an advantage
  • 5 years of direct experience in a multinational Regulatory Compliance related field
  • Strong coaching & mentoring skills
  • Comfortable to work with senior management
  • Sound MS Office skills
  • Working knowledge of JDE Oracle E2Open OCR EASE and TradeSphere Exporter
  • Experience in U.S. import and export regulations and rules
  • Experience working in region and with local regulatory authorities
  • Ability to travel 15 for success in the role
