SEL Engineering Services Inc. (SELES) part of the Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories Inc. (SEL) family of companies seeks professional innovative and detailed individuals for our Project Engineer Automation position located at our Fairview Heights Illinois field office.

Project Engineer Automation (Multiple Openings)
Responsibilities:
The Project Engineer Automation is required to possess understand and apply the fundamental concepts practices and procedures of power system automation and related company products (involving software integration and automation industrial controls PLCs relevant industry protocolssuch as IEC61850 DNP and ModbusEthernet systems protocol analyzers and industry SCADA practices). The incumbent will be expected to apply the principles of electrical engineering and computer science and: 1 train and assist customers with the creation design configuration validation installation commissioning and operation of automation systems; 2 complete and implement assigned work within agreedupon scope schedule and budget to a high level of quality and safety; 3 participate in the preparation of functional design specifications; 4 prepare and maintain detailed design documents reports checklists test reports and deliverables; 5 provide support for other company marketing sales application engineering and development activities; and 6 continuously identify measure and improve company engineering processes.
TRAVEL:
These fulltime positions will be based out of SELESs Fairview Heights Illinois field office. However because the company has numerous customers nationwide some travel is required as the incumbent will occasionally and on a shortterm basis be deployed to various customer sites. Candidates must therefore be willing to travel to various unanticipated locations throughout the United States on an ongoing basis.
