Area Coordinator Home Support

Hume Office Shepparton VIC

Part Time Fixed Term Basis

  • Work with a rapidly growing notforprofit organisation committed to social justice
  • Competitive pay rate $56.29 per hour superannuation
  • Fixed Term from June 2025 to November 2025
  • Laptop and mobile phone provided.
  • Part Time position 22.8 hours per week
  • Based at our Hume Office in Shepparton (VIC)

Your new role

Wintringham is seeking a dynamic and proactive Area Coordinator to join our multidisciplinary Hume community team on a Part Time basis. The Area Coordinator will provide support and supervision for a team of case managers who will work to ensure clients receive the support and care needed based on their funded level of package. This engaging Fixed Term role will run from the June 2025 to November 2025.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Promote a noninstitutional philosophy by recognising and promoting the rights of clients
  • Promote consistent growth and viability of the Home Support Program(HCP)
  • Develop strong relationships with local services and networks
  • Ensure duty of care to both clients and staff is adhered to at all times
  • Ensure high quality comprehensive case management services are provided.
  • Provide support and supervision for a team of case managers
  • Ensure services being provided are in line with Aged Care Quality Standards
  • Maintain a small caseload of Home Care Package clients

We are looking for candidates with the following:

  • An approved tertiary qualification in Social Work Nursing Welfare Community Services or Allied Health.
  • Demonstrated well developed networking skills
  • An understanding of the aged care sector and community services
  • Current Drivers License
  • Experience in case management supervision and staff development
  • Experience in service delivery in a community setting
  • Sound understanding of the aged and community services legislative frameworks
  • Experience in the Health or the Aged Care sector and Homelessness
  • Commitment to the organisation and its philosophy of social justice.
  • Welldeveloped communication and liaison skills with a variety of people from varying socioeconomic backgrounds
