Job Description
Purpose of Position:
Responsibilities include general grounds and garden maintenance. Other duties may include special event preparation and breakdown of tents and furnishings. Job is seasonal May through September. Work schedule is 45 days per week 8 hours per day no weekends.
Essential Functions:
- Provide working handson gardening/landscaping for historical gardens other gardens landscaping and grounds
- Oversee greenhouse and ancillary landscape/gardening operations
- Assist with managing gardening volunteers
- Assist with event setup and teardown with event coordinator
- Promote gardening/landscaping at Museum and with general public
- Assist grounds crew with snow removal sidewalk salting mowing grass etc.
- Perform other tasks as required
- The ability to work in all weather conditions.
- The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work well with a team.
- Drivers license
