Job Purpose
- To carry out gardening and horticultural maintenance of ornamental grass and natural features under the direction of a Lead Gardener. The role supports the delivery of a high-quality clean safe and well-maintained environment across estates while ensuring excellent customer service.
Key Duties/Accountabilities
- Maintain ornamental areas including shrubs roses hedges and biodiversity features.
- Mow edge and renovate grass areas.
- Control unwanted vegetation in horticultural and hard landscape areas.
- Assist with minor landscaping and horticultural development.
- Operate and maintain motorised gardening equipment (e.g. mowers strimmers hedge cutters).
- Secure equipment and machinery during working hours.
- Undertake training to maintain and develop skills.
Essential Experience Required
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Gardener or Assistant Gardener.
- Basic gardening skills (e.g. soil cultivation pruning).
- Experience using gardening machinery (e.g. mowers strimmers hedge cutters).
Essential Qualification Required
- Working knowledge of Health & Safety (Manual Handling COSHH Work at Heights).
Additional information to note
- Working Hours: 35 hours per week.
- The role requires a basic DBS.
- Full UK driving licence (required for mobile role).
