Key Responsibilities:
Deliver the assigned project scope and tasks by meetingexceeding our safety quality OnTimeDelivery and budget requirements.
Produce PLC software and/or visualization systems.
Emulate the control system in a virtual environment and test PLC software.
Interpret electrical schematics and design input information.
Deliver controls engineering activities related to project design and implementation.
Ensure systems designed and supplied are CE Compliant to the Machinery Directive
Produce of all associated documentation including but not limited to design calculations design specifications Method Statements and Risk Assessments operation and maintenance manuals and test specifications.
Commission controls systems on site and to provide support to system commissioning activities and training for the end user.
Maintain good relationships with all internal and external customers through the provision of a highquality service.
Promote personal and business continuous improvement and development of processes to achieve improved time cost and quality or project delivery.
Qualifications & Experience:
A Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering is desirable however those with a HNC/HND in Electrical/Mechatronics/Controls Engineering will also be considered.
Experience in designing controls systems in Siemens S7 or TIA Portal.
Extensive proven handson experience working within an industrial automation environment.
Good understanding of PLC development tools.
Proficient with Industrial Networks such as Profinet Profibus ASi EthernetIP or similar.
Experience working with Eplan is desirable not essential.
Good understanding of Electrical and Electronic technical manuals & drawings.
Understanding of design requirements such as Machine Directive and its standards.
Good understanding of distributed control systems.
Extensive understanding of software testing and emulation.
Full UK Driving Licence as the position will require travel up to 60 of the time to customer sites both in the UK and across EMEA.
