Job Description

As a Private Events Sales Director youll be driving revenue for our properties making a difference at the country club providing mentoring and leadership to a new sales team. Fords Colony is more than just a country club. Were a community hub where elegance meets warm hospitality. Our members and guests trust us with lifes most memorable moments from intimate celebrations to extravagant affairs and we deliver with style grave and seamless .

Compensation and Benefits:

$50000 Base Salary plus Sales Commission Expected Total Compensation of $85000

What Youll Be Doing:

  • Embraces Echo Teamwork Values
  • Generate Events That Make a Financial Impact on the Property.
  • Solicits New and Existing Accounts to Meet/
    Exceed Revenue Goals.
  • Methods of Sales May Include but Are Not Limited to Telephone Solicitation Outside Sales Calls Sales Presentations Property Tours Customer Meetings and Written Correspondence.
  • Develops a Clear and Concise Sales Process to Attract Weddings Corporate Outings Catered Events Banquet Events with Effective Followup for Each.
  • Closes Business Within the Assigned Segment Through Incoming Group Requests and Outbound Sales.
  • Conducts Sales Calls As Appropriate to Book Business. Works Closely with Department Managers to Maximize Revenue Potential.
  • Meet and Exceed Monthly Booking Goals and Sales Budget. Manage the Yield by Utilizing Minimum Expenditures.
  • Prepares Written Correspondence to Customers Internal Booking Reports and Ensures Proper Maintenance of Sales Files. Prepare Reports Such As Annual Sales Plan Monthly Sales Report Annual Goals Sales and Marketing Budget Forecasts Etc.
  • Develop New Markets and Sales Strategies Using Catering Standards. Negotiation of Beos Wedding Sales and Followthrough. to Achieve the Highest Possible Customer Member and Guest Satisfaction.
  • Continually Analyzes Market Trends and Competition Gaining Knowledge of Local Guests.
  • Proactively Works to Upsell Groups to Include Golf Merchandise Rentals.
  • Recommends Changes to Established Parameters Based on Monitoring Costs Supply and Demand and Competition.
  • Participates in the Daytoday Marketing Efforts of the Facility Assisting the Director of Operations As Needed.

What Were Looking for:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree Required.
  • Minimum of 3 Years Preferred Experience in Food & Beverage Sales and or Management
  • A Bachelors Degree from a Fouryear College Is Desirable Preferably in Hospitality or Business Management or Substantial Hospitality Experience Will Be Considered.
  • Outstanding Customer Service Skills and Ability to Engage with Guests and Associates in an Attentive Friendly Courteous and Service Oriented Manner.
  • Excellent Communication Skills in Terms of the Ability to Negotiate Sell and Influence Clients and Meeting Attendees.
  • Must Be Able to Speak Read Write and Communicate in English to Adequately Perform the Duties of the Job.
  • Knowledge of Event Planning/Hospitality Principles and Practices.
  • Ability to Travel to Area Businesses and Accounts to Solicit New Business As Needed.
  • Ability to Make Decisions Based on Established Policies and Procedures and Guidance from the General Manager.
  • Outstanding Organizational and Time Management Skills.
  • Ability to Handle Sensitive Material with the Utmost Discretion and Confidentiality.
  • Must Be Energetic a Selfstarter and Able to Work in a Fastpaced Environment.
  • Must Be Detailoriented and Able to Work Both Independently and with a Team.
  • Must Be Effective in Handling Problems Including Anticipating Preventing Identifying and Solving Problems As Necessary.
  • Must Be Able to Show Initiative Including Anticipating Guest and/or Operational Needs.
  • Must Be Able to Maintain Standards of Attendance and Punctuality and Must Be Able to Work Varying Schedules That Include Evenings Weekends Holidays and Extended Hours As Business Dictates.
