Job Description

The Fellowship Program is designed for emerging stars looking to grow as Venture Partners in the VC PE & entrepreneurial ecosystem. The program is rooted in our belief that SucSEED s core purpose in the earlystage ecosystem is to Nurture Talent either entrepreneurial talent through capital or VC talent through early exposure to building blocks of Venture ecosystem.

Entrepreneurship is about fearless reimagination of the world and the Fellowship is our endeavour to bring together a group of passionate minds and provide them the unique opportunity to get firsthand experience of the startup ecosystem. With this philosophy in mind we are running Fellowship program from the #SucSEEDfamily aimed at constantly bringing in fresh inflow of ideas & enthusiasm into the fund and challenge every bit of our thinking & knowledge. Job Description:
The full time fellowship program is for a year and aimed to give the fellows a full taste of what happens in a VC fund. For deserving candidates the program provides full time offer from SucSEED or its associated firms.

In this Fellowship you will be expected to learn & understand the progress in the sector build & maintain valuationrelated analysis prepare writeups present investment ideas to Sectoral Committee Investment Mgmt Team Partners & Investment Committees in order to take an informed call on earlystage deal. Once invested grow the PortCo and create value to Investors through a healthy Exit.

1 Buyside Sectoral Research leading to PreDeal discovery Responsible to Conduct Primary & Secondary market research around Technology Innovation in various Sectors of SucSEEDs Investment thesis to identify opportunities for growth & innovation and convert into Annual Buyside Sectoral Research. Attend various events in the sector and analyze Industry trends/ data to identify patterns & Partners to work with
2 Build Community
  • Create Community of various stakeholders (Incubators Accelerators Funds Regulators Institutions Investors Corporates etc) to create value in that sector
  • use them effectively to conduct Sectroal Research
  • Create platform for Startup founders to pitch their solutions & discover deals more proactively.
  • Discover more Sectoral Curators from this community and to help shape Funds roadmap.

3 Deal Discovery
  • Work with various Incubators & Sourcing Partners such as IITM IIITH IIMB and other Accelerators to discover innovations matching our investment themes (inbound & outbound)
  • Filter Screen & interact with founders to appreciate their solutions.
  • Collaborate with Sectoral Curators to help shape Fund roadmaps & discover deals accordingly.

4 Investment Mgmt & Deal
  • Conduct Investment analysis based on product features market size & business projections to build a case to invest.
  • Work with Investment committee to identify investment interest and ensure Investment Memo covers all the salient points to get approval from the committees & LPs delivered on time as per the scope.

5 Portfolio Management & Value Creation / Scaling of PortCos
  • Work with Portfolio company Founders and develop an implementation plan to achieve Business Plans & GTM.
  • Track & report on key performance metrics to senior management. You will be expected to conduct indepth benchmarking of valuation & operational metrics (vs. peer groups) and learn how other analyses could be helpful in Earlystage investments.
  • Develop Outreach presentations & other materials to communicate with clients partners & investors about the sector.
  • Identify Clients Partners & Investors who can bring value towards the growth of our PortCos with regular engagements through Portfolio Showcases.

6 Sellside Sectoral Research & Create Exits
  • Relationship & Engagement: Lead daytoday of complex engagement with CorpDev/ Client Teams and Private Equity players across PreDeal phase Deal phase & Value Creation / Scaling of PortCos.
  • Business Development: Identify & convert client opportunities by building relationships with Global PE/M&A Leadership Client Account Teams & Client stakeholders in PE/Corp across geographies. Harness extensive knowledge combined with an integrated suite of methods people & assets to help the Fund to create Value to Investors.
  • Practice Development: Contribute to the development of new assets / IP thought capital & POVs raising the profile of team & the PortCo leading to demand generation.

7 Collaboration with Institutional Partners You ll get the exposure to handle responsibilities by working closely on Investor Relationship (retail institutional and Family offices) develop deeper relationship with Partners of SucSEED (Incubators Accelerators Investment Bankers network with other fund houses Service Providers Large Technology providers and so on) work on Events and Collaborations to create better outreach and create sellside opportunities towards exits and work on Marketing and Communication strategy to have better brand recall with the external world at every level. And help our Portfolio companies with various Partnership outreach.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE
The Fellowship is a stipendled program designed with multidisciplinary learning at its core. The program operates on a 12month model where a fellow would get an opportunity to work on above dimensions of the VC ecosystem in the sectors of our fund thesis. At the end of the program SucSEED will provide extensive support to help you pursue your career or aspirations through strong references and recommendations.

We expect the Fellow to complete 12month to get the most out of our program and would accept a lockin period of 12 months to ensure only committed candidates deserve to enter the program. The program combines structured mentorship with handson experience and offers tremendous opportunity to learn about VC & amplifies insights and understanding of the Indias startup ecosystem.

The applications will be accepted in two cycles
  • Cycle 1 25/Dec/2024 (for those candidates who can start from Jan / Feb 25
  • Cycle 2 07/APR/2025 (for those who can start by May/ June25 can be parked and considered.

Fellowship program had commenced in 2023 and our last two Annual intakes from Cohort1 & Cohort 2 have run successfully with a rolling 1yr program with very encouraging outcome..

  • Who needs a new challenge & wants to get a taste of the VC industry before they switch careers.

What we look for: Qualification & Profile
We require performanceoriented accountability and constant learning. We believe in building Venture Partners in next few years from within by encouraging our team to challenge themselves and explore their deep potential.
  • Graduate candidates with 02 yrs experience in a EdTech Fintech Security SAAS IT Automation or something similar ideally in business analysis or similar covering Indian or global markets will have an added advantage.
  • Likes Business Finances & Accounting Understands key concepts financial statements & analysis.
  • Candidates with equity research & valuation skills are encouraged to apply.
  • Candidates with exposure to M&A consulting (e.g. advisory strategy management) or direct deal experience (e.g. PE CorpDev CVC) may be plus.
  • Extensive experience with project management including organization prioritization & ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously & work well under pressure to drive tasks/ initiatives to completion.
  • Excellent Communicator ability to work with technical & nontechnical stakeholders with attention to detail & delivery method & swift negotiations.
  • Passion for Tech Keen understanding of the latest tech trends & their impact on markets economy and the future.
  • Multifaceted Open to contributing value that cuts across roles & disciplines.
