About the Role:
As a Software Engineer Associate on the VAS Product Development team you will play a crucial role in building software solutions that leverage data to deliver innovative valueadded services in the payments space. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on highimpact applications in a fastpaced environment. Youll be involved in all aspects of software development from designing new solutions to refactoring existing functionality always focusing on improving efficiency and delivering value to customers.
Essential Functions:
- Design and build distributed applications using emerging technologies focusing on innovative valueadded services in the payments industry.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams (Product Managers Architects Analysts Software Engineers) to develop datadriven solutions that meet business needs.
- Lead endtoend development efforts to deliver highquality solutions on time aligning with architectural vision and standards.
- Work closely with senior technical staff and Project Managers to identify and manage project risks track progress and ensure successful delivery.
- Present technical solutions and features in business terms ensuring effective communication of progress challenges and solutions.
- Contribute to the evolution of the software architecture and drive improvements in code performance maintainability and scalability.
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or 3 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java and handson experience with Spring and Hibernate frameworks.
- Knowledge of RDBMS technologies such as PostgreSQL or Oracle.
- Experience with RESTful APIs JSON and web service standards.
- Familiarity with Agile development practices including TestDriven Development (TDD) and tools like GIT Maven Jenkins and JUnit.
- Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to design scalable highperformance software solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to clearly present complex ideas and collaborate with team members.
- A proactive selfmotivated team player with a strong work ethic and adaptability in a fastpaced environment.
Additional Information :
U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary for a new hire into this position is 84600.00 to 119650.00 USD which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on jobrelated factors which may include knowledge skills experience and location. In addition this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical Dental Vision 401 (k) FSA/HSA Life Insurance Paid Time Off and Wellness Program.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50 of the time based on business needs.
