- Lead and manage the Home Entertainment QC department including staffing training scheduling and performance oversight of QC Operators.
- Review incoming orders to ensure all required assets and instructions are complete and accurate before scheduling work.
- Assign and delegate tasks to ensure all QC projects are completed on time and meet required specifications.
- Maintain departmental shift schedules and resource planning to ensure consistent coverage.
- Ensure content adheres to client specifications industry standards and internal quality benchmarks.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams (Client Services Operations) and external clients regarding project status and technical inquiries.
- Troubleshoot and respond to client issues in a timely and professional manner while cultivating the business relationship.
- Identify and pursue new Home Entertainment business opportunities in conjunction with senior management.
- Ensure all contractual client KPIs are met and deliver regular metrics reports to both clients and senior management as required.
- Develop implement and maintain departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) test scripts process checklists and best practices.
- Create and execute training programs to enhance team skills and keep staff current with evolving industry workflows.
- Approve employee timecards and PTO requests.
- Oversee functionality of Home Entertainment QC equipment (including regular updates to disc player firmware) and software systems; escalate technical issues to Engineering IT or appropriate support teams.
- Stay current on all trends in Home Entertainment including physical media and EST by monitoring relevant forums and industry websites.
- Collaborate with Engineering IT and DevOps to optimize workflows and maintain reliable system performance.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality efficiency and scalability.
- Escalate complex technical or staffing issues to senior management when appropriate.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in home entertainment quality control within a professional postproduction environment.
- Strong attention to detail organizational skills and time management.
- Extensive proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint) and familiarity with database systems like FileMaker.
- Proven ability to lead motivate and develop a highperforming team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interfacing with clients and all levels of staff.
- Indepth knowledge of physical media formats including DVD Bluray UHD Bluray etc.
- Indepth knowledge of media file formats and codecs including Apple ProRes H.264 MPEG2 MPEG4 etc.
- Experience working in both Windows and macOS environments.
- Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
