Job Description
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a Housekeeping Manager (or Executive Housekeeper for a prestigious luxury game lodge located in the North West Province. This role requires a dedicated and experienced individual with a strong background in lodge operations and exceptional attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the entire housekeeping department ensuring rooms and public areas meet 5star standards at all times
Lead train and motivate housekeeping staff to maintain high levels of performance and service
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms public areas and staff accommodation for cleanliness and maintenance
Implement and maintain housekeeping policies procedures and inventory control systems
Manage laundry services including coordination of guest and inhouse laundry
Ensure all guest requests and needs related to housekeeping are responded to promptly and professionally
Maintain strong communication with all departments to ensure seamless operations
Monitor and control housekeeping supplies and costs effectively
Uphold lodge sustainability and ecoconscious housekeeping practices
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role within a luxury game lodge environment
Proven track record in managing housekeeping teams and operations
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Strong eye for detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards
Ability to work under pressure in a remote fastpaced environment
Computer literate with knowledge of housekeeping software and stock control
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Flexibility to work shifts weekends and holidays as required
This is a livein position offering a negotiable salary based on experience qualifications and current salary level.
