Job Description

About the Role:

Summary:

This role is a senior nonmanagement role within Technical Project Management. The role will primarily focus on delivering implementations & integrations and developing more junior team members. The expectation is that senior technical project managers set the gold standard for others within the team across all aspects of the role.

Senior Technical Project Managers are expected to be able to work across at least two different applications (e.g. Harmony & NetLink CFD & ETD).

Technical project managers at all levels are expected to collaborate with other members of professional services and other internal teams in order to deliver implementations & integrations.

The role sometimes requires work outside of standard working hours either on Friday evenings or on Sundays to deploy changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Implementation & Integration
  • Deliver implementations & integrations for at least two different application
  • Connectivity & integration set up in IC and/or Adapters
  • For integration:

  • Coordinate the development of the transformer based on the spec provided by Solution Design
  • Create any required routing in IC
  • Ensure that all integration changes & set ups undergo the required 4eye checks prior to deployment in production
  • Ensure all integrations follow the integration standards outlined

  • Connectivity & integration set up in the product
  • System configuration in UAT and production environments
  • Gathering & setting up all required static data in UAT & production (as required)
  • Undergoing the UAT phase with the customer directly unilaterally identifying issues investigating those issues and resolving those issues with the relevant internal or external team
  • Finalising readiness to migrate to production and liaising with the relevant counterparties (as required)
  • Day one check in with the customer
  • Hand over to the operations teams once live
  • Work effectively as part of a professional services project team on each implementation and/or integration alongside a project manager and solution design manager
  • Work effectively with key internal stakeholders outside of professional services during the implementation and/or integration such as the connectivity team product or development teams
  • Demonstrate a positive customer experience during implementations & integrations regardless of whether the Technical Project Manager leads discussions or is working behind the scenes on items
  • Update the PSA system (e.g. on a daily basis so that the project manager has the correct information on project status risks issues and dependencies
  • Creating and tracking UAT plans
  • Track & communicate change via change management processes & tools (e.g. jira)
  • Ensure all required implementation & integration documentation is produced in the standard formats defined and is made available prior to the point of golive including the operations handover material
  • Effectively manage time so that tasks are completed by the expected due date
  • CrossTraining
    • Create crosstraining materials in the predefined standardised formats on implementation & integration processes for project types
    • To lead implementation & integrations as a primary resource while developing a secondary resource
    • Develop new core skills and take on new project types
    • To assist a primary resource during implementation & integrations while acting as a secondary resoure
  • Teamwork
    • Responsive collaborative and engaged with the internal project management team assigned to each implementation and/or integration
    • Engage be open and be objective in postproject retrospectives to develop the team further
  • Product UAT
    • Working with technology to understand the specific details for product releases
    • Requiring the changes to understand if there will be an impact on any integration/messaging in/out of the product
    • Devising and executing the required UAT runbook providing a sign off for the product release to be deployed to production
  • L1 Escalations
    • Act as an escalation point for certain project types / services from a technical project management perspective
  • Additional Senior Technical Project Manager Responsibilities
    • Take on additional responsibilities within the team such as process improvement initiatives or technology initiatives including BAU technology roadmap/prioritisation meetings
    • Suggest process improvements across technical project management
    • Own and demonstrate personal development via not just crosstraining but other skills (soft or technical)

Requirements

  • Ability to implement across two different products
  • Knowledge of multiple message formats such as FIX XML JSON and CSV
  • Work effectively as part of a team
  • Desire to grow ones own knowledge and assist others in the team in developing their knowledge and expertise
  • Ability to define and document detailed workflow processes

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):

OSTTRA states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $115000 to $120000.

In addition to base compensation this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
