Position: Temporary RECE Full Day Educator (ending in May 20 2025
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Temporary RECE Full Day Educator to join our team!
Location: Cathy Wever
Hours: 37.5 hours/week
Schedule: Monday to Friday day shifts
Pay Rate per Collective Agreement (includes wage grants): $27.72 per hour
Internal Closing Date: 03/25/2025

Experience:
- At least 1 year of experience working directly with children OR experience in a childcare setting with schoolaged children is preferred
- Proven ability to plan and implement programs for toddlers and preschoolers
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education
- Member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
- Standard First Aid with CPR level C certification
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Proof of uptodate immunizations for TB Tetanus and MMR
- Proof of COVID19 vaccinations
Skills & Competencies:
- Familiarity with the Ministry of Educations How Does Learning Happen framework is an asset
- Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive equitable and diverse environment
- Excellent problemsolving abilities and adaptability in a fastpaced setting
- Designing and implementing developmentally appropriate activities based on childrens interests to promote their overall development
- Maintaining supervision and ensuring a safe nurturing environment for children up to 12 years of age
- Organizing indoor and outdoor play spaces materials and equipment to create a welcoming environment
- Conducting daily health checks on children and documenting any concerns as required by the Ministry of Education
- Collaborating with colleagues and maintaining professional relationships with Hamilton Wentworth District School Board staff
