Admissions Counselor
Position: Western Colorado University invites applications for the fulltime position of Admissions Counselor. The position reports to the Director of Admissions works closely with other admissions staff marketing and various other departments and is responsible for recruiting prospective students to Western Colorado University from the assigned territory. This position will be located on the Gunnison Campus or in Colorado Springs/Pueblo area but will travel both throughout Colorado and nationally.
Responsibilities: The Admissions Counselor is a professional admissions position that integrates three different functions within the admissions marketing process:
The Admissions Counselor generates leads develops marketing channels and conducts other networkbuilding/recruiting/marketing analysis and efforts. Once admitted the Admission Counselor tracks and proactively conducts targeted outreach/marketing efforts to convert accepted applicants into matriculated students. The Admissions Counselor is responsible for counseling on all types of inquiries received by the college which include telephone direct mail internet and walkins and also serves as an internal and external recruiter. This positions reviews submitted applications and admits qualified students.

Compensation: Salary will range from $50000$55000 per year. This position is FLSA exempt. Western offers an excellent benefits package including shared premiums for a comprehensive health insurance plan dental insurance retirement plan life insurance and other insurance options. After one year of employment Western provides free tuition for dependents enrolled full time in undergraduate programs for up to four years.
