JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Enterprise Network / Telecom Engineer is responsible for designing securing and optimizing enterprisewide network and telecommunications infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance. This role manages complex network architectures VoIP call center technologies and firewall security while implementing best practices for secure connectivity VPN solutions and network authentication. Serving as a technical mentor and escalation point this individual collaborates with crossfunctional teams and leadership to enhance network reliability security and overall service efficiency.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology or closely related field plus 5 years of related experience; OR an equivalent combination of nine 9 years of directly related enterprise network and telecommunications education and experience in a similar environment of size and scope.
Professional/Engineering level certifications in computer networking information security or telecommunications systems are preferred.
Due to the nature of this position the successful applicant must pass a required background check through fingerprinting and enrollment in the continuous RAP Back (Record of Arrest and Prosecution Back) program in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements.

Is subject to callout 24 hours a day to support the IT organization and Countys business needs.
