DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Equipment Maintenance Technician in our East Granby CT facility whwere we develop and produce specialty optical fiber.
Job Description:
- Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance troubleshooting and repair on largescale manufacturing equipment to maximize uptime and efficiency
- Operational Support: Collaborate closely with production and engineering teams to support and maintain the reliable operation of equipment critical to optical fiber manufacturing
- Preventative Maintenance: Develop and follow preventative maintenance schedules ensuring minimal equipment downtime and optimizing performance
- Quality Control: Ensure all equipment operates within required tolerances and performance standards supporting our commitment to delivering highquality optical fiber products
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate maintenance logs repair records and documentation of equipment settings and parameters
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability efficiency and safety working with engineering to implement enhancements
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working with large manufacturing equipment fostering a safe working environment
Experience & qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Equipment Technician or Mechanical Technician in a manufacturing setting preferably within hightech or precisionfocused industries
- Strong mechanical aptitude with handson experience in troubleshooting and repairing large machinery such as lathes draw towers or similar production equipment
- ProblemSolving Ability: Excellent diagnostic and problemsolving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing equipment issues
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that may require standing bending lifting and operating machinery
