Job Description
Job Title: Sr. Project Systems Engineer
STATUS: FullTime Exempt
Location:Caldwell ID and will require travel to our JTS location in Abilene TX
Department:IT

Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
Project Implementation & Infrastructure Management
- Lead the deployment and configuration of servers (Windows Server 2016 firewalls switches and wireless infrastructure.
- Execute infrastructure upgrades Office 365 migrations and virtualization projects using VMware and/or HyperV.
- Plan and implement cloud backup disaster recovery endpoint protection and network redesigns.
- Oversee hybrid environments including Active Directory Azure AD and conditional access policies.
- Partner with internal teams and thirdparty vendors for systems planning escalations and issue resolution.
- Coordinate technical deliverables with stakeholders documenting processes and risks proactively.
Technical Support & Field Service
- Serve as Tier 2 lead for complex support incidents involving Microsoft 365 Windows 10/11 Teams SharePoint and core business tools.
- Perform onsite diagnostics and hardware deployments in support of manufacturing construction or field operations.
- Maintain and improve connectivity across LAN/WAN/WiFi networks and remote endpoints.
- Conduct user training and knowledgesharing sessions during and after deployments.
Documentation & Operational Handoffs
- Create and maintain technical documentation including configurations credentials and diagrams using modern documentation platforms.
- Ensure smooth postproject transitions to help desk NOC or cybersecurity teams.
- Validate the quality and completeness of all documentation before project closure.
Team Collaboration & Mentorship
- Collaborate with project managers and leadership to define technical scopes and milestones.
- Provide mentorship to junior technicians or engineers and contribute to internal process improvements.
- Occasionally participate in clientfacing discussions to clarify technical designs and address concerns during implementation.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field or equivalent experience.
- 7 years of IT infrastructure and support experience with at least 2 years in projectbased usersupporting or clientfacing roles.
- Experience supporting mixed field/office environments in industries like construction or manufacturing.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems independently and deliver clientready solutions.
- Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Azure Administrator Network Security preferred.
- Exposure to modern MSP tools (RMMs SIEMs documentation platforms like Hudu and ConnectWise).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity platforms compliance solutions and Office 365/Exchange.
- Proficient in:
- Windows Server Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environments
- VMware or HyperV virtualization platforms
- Firewalls switches VLANs wireless systems (Meraki Ubiquiti or similar)
- Backup/disaster recovery systems and endpoint protection tools
- Ability to prioritize workload multitask and work under pressure in a demanding environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Comfort working in a lean dynamic fast paced growing environment
- Exceptional sense of judgment and ability to make quality and independent decisions under ambiguous situations.
- Strong influencing and partnering skills across all levels of the organization.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- FLSA executive and professional positions paid on a salary basis where project requirements and tight client deadlines may require workweeks over forty 40 hours (including weekends or holidays)
- This role will be in office setting however frequent visits to the production floor are required to oversee operations ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Mobility: Ability to move around the manufacturing plant including walking standing and climbing stairs.
- Manual Dexterity: Occasional use of hands to handle or feel objects tools or controls.
- Lifting: Ability to lift and carry items up to twentyfive 25 pounds. All lifting should be done following OSHA standards.
