Job Description
Federal Work Study STU AST CLERICAL & ADMIN
The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Diagnostic Sciences Division of Radiology in the College of Dentistry is recruiting for a Federal Work Study Student Assistant. This position will assist the Clinic supervisor and Radiology technicians in the Oral Radiology Clinic.
The principal duties and responsibilities assigned to this position are:
- Answering phones calls
- Making and confirming appointments
- Assisting in inputting charges and closing out radiology requests
- Obtaining insurance claims for patients
- Verifying patients insurance and authorizations for CT scans
- Cleaning and stocking operatories
- Perform other duties as assigned.
$13.00 per hour
Must have Federal Work Study Award.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills both written and oral.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with MS Word Excel and Outlook.
- Exercise discretion in handling confidential and privileged information.
- Excellent organizational time management and followthrough skills.
- Highlevel attention to detail accuracy is essential.
- Ability to handle a large volume of detailed information.
- Must be able to work independently be selfmotivated and be able to multitask.
- Professional demeanor and dress.
- Reliability is critical and eager to learn.
