Job Description Summary:

To provide oversight of all imaging charges and data concerns. Primary focus of position is to maximize reimbursement through billing reconciliation and effective use of CPT coding and CDM management. This position will be the primary agent to ensure authorization and support documentation is completed for internal referrals (i.e.: UAE Vein Ablation). The position will be expected to assume the duties of Radiology Support Associate II when other duties are complete or at times of operational necessity.

To maintain and retrieve Radiology files and result reports. To provide Radiology receptionist duties at desk and telephone as needed. Performs patient scheduling and completion of all demographic and protocolspecific information necessary for a complete scheduled exam.

Acts as a key resource person by providing functional guidance and direction to coworkers. Assists the Manager and Supervisor in resolving problems. Assists in disseminating new information to and acting as a department resource for staff other departments physicians and outside agencies.

Job Requirements Prerequisites and Essential Functions:

EDUCATION
High school diploma GED or equivalent preferred. Related training including computer courses preferred.

EXPERIENCE
Two years clerical or secretarial experience in a health care setting with computerbased familiarity. Higher education may be considered in lieu of job experience.

PREREQUISITE SKILLS
1. Demonstrated interpersonal skills to deal effectively and courteously with a diverse group of internal and external visitors and callers.
2. Accurate typing at 30 wpm.
3. Basic to intermediate skill in word processing.
4. Knowledge of medical terminology.
5. Ability in database management.
6. Ability to learn and operate any and all computerized radiology information systems.
7. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks despite frequent interruptions.
8. Ability to operate standard business machines such as personal computer fax machines and copier.
9. Ability to work collaboratively with team members hospital staff physicians and outside agencies.
10. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The selected candidates compensation will be determined based on the individuals skills experience internal/market equity factors and qualifications. This posted minimum and maximum range represents the minimum and maximum of what we reasonably expect to compensate for the position. Furthermore all compensation decisions are ultimately determined in accordance with our compensation philosophy. Compensation for positions covered by collective bargaining agreements are governed by the agreements in the aforementioned document.
