What can our construction projects build for you
CPB Contractors along with our industry partners has been selected as preferred proponent to deliver two major packages for the Cross River Rail Projects: the Tunnel Stations and Development (TSD) package and the Rail Integration and Systems (RIS) package. Cross River Rail is a new 10.2 kilometre rail line from Dutton Park to Bowen Hills which includes 5.9 kilometres of tunnel under the Brisbane River and the CBD.
The RIS package is crucial to the overall delivery and success of Cross River Rail and its integration with the Queensland Rail network. RIS will be delivered by the UNITY Alliance which brings CPB Contractors UGL AECOM and Jacobs together with partners HASSEL RCS Australia Acmena Martinus Rail and WIRED Overhead Solutions to deliver the full scope of works over the next five years. This includes:
Rail civil and electrical works
Brownfield rail surface works primarily to the north of the tunnel including an upgrade of Exhibition Station and a major augmentation of Mayne Yard
Upgrade of six suburban stations to the south
Rail operational systems works
Rail signalling works and communication and integration and commission activities.
Your Opportunity
As a Rail Corridor Access Officer you will facilitate the rail corridor access coordinate the Network lockout and delineation and oversee the safeworking component for all rail corridor users working for the RIS project. This includes the design setup and removal of worksite and safeworking delineation.
You will be accountable to:
Manage Network safeworking requirements for the project in accordance with QR requirements and Project planning.
Sign into the Protection Officer or Permit Holders Multiple Workgroup Register and ensure a thorough briefing is received.
Oversee all access to the site including managing the lockout (lock box and protection) and delivering a briefing on all known hazards and controls.
Coordinate the installation and removal of protection as required including handback and track clearance processes.
Attend and contribute to necessary meetings including TMinus meetings related to the safeworking design and setup of all works within the Rail Corridor (as required).
Assist as necessary with any Rail Safety functions including (but not limited to); lockout spotters PICOW audits etc.
Ensuring all workers act safety and comply with safety requirements
Managing the work performance of self and direct reports Our desired requirements for this role are:
3 years leadership experience in a highly regulated safety critical environment (track protection officer (or equivalent) Network Control room traffic controller etc) with the appropriate qualifications (minimum Cert III).
Experiencing managing Permit to Work or Lockout
Experience delivering detailed and critical messaging / information in a group setting.
Manage the compliance of others in accordance with relevant safety processes and procedures.
Demonstrated leadership skills aligned with project principles strong communication and organisational skills
Proven experience with problem solving planning and time management
Proven experience with conflict and relationship management
