POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES The Lease Property Accountant will handle routine and daily work for Lease Accounting department including reading entering and updating commercial tenant lease documents for multiple properties into the accounting database system. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Read lease agreements thoroughly; sets up and maintains new leases renewals and termination into database
Updates tenant lease accounts
Process late fee recalculationCPI increases and process sales tax rate changes
Work on prebill (estimated recovery charge changes) and yearend recovery reconciliation updates
Reverse and reapply checks and transfer of security deposits
Research and respond to field calls from property management and leasing offices
Help gather audit information as needed
Assist management and others as needed
Work closely with PM and other departments to address lease related issues and ensure accurate accounting.
Assist others by providing necessary documentation and explanations for leaserelated transactions.
Review and research property management billing transactions including scheduled charges and adjustments
Review and process all writeoff requests
Keep up with existing and new employer guidelines
Constantly follow up open items until issues are resolved

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree in paralegal or accounting
Good oral and written communication skills
Good Interpersonal detail oriented and organization skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Proficient PC skills required (Excel/Word/PDF)
Good judgement initiative and accuracy
Must maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
