eMobility R&D Project Manager
Business Information:
Hitachi Energy India Development Centre (IDC) is a research and development facility with around 500 R&D engineers specialists and experts who focus on creating and sustaining digital solutions new products and technology. This includes product integration testing cybersecurity and certification. The India Development Centre is situated in Chennai and Bangalore. IDC collaborates with the R&D and Research centres of Hitachi Energy which are spread across more than 15 locations throughout 12 countries. In the past 20 years IDC has secured more than 200 international papers and 150 patents.
Mission Statement:
Able to lead a team with strong people management skills to deliver the value expected from the team. The team manager is expected to define and implement both long term and shortterm strategies for the team as per the overall organization strategy.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead crossfunctional project teams (Power Electronics Mechanics Control and Automation Engineering) in close collaboration with the responsible line/program management
- Drive development of multiple product roadmap items with R&D technical team and all crossfunctional stakeholders
- Develop accurate comprehensive and regular reporting about R&D projects and stakeholder management
- Drive the implementation of the backlog in a transparent and efficient way and ensure quality and timeliness of releases.
- Responsible of scope definition budget estimation and planning of the different R&D projects
- Setup and manage partnerships with external development partners and production suppliers
- Collect and clarify requirements and drive prioritization with multiple stakeholders
- Responsible of risk and opportunity management and change control within the projects
- Support the rollout of releases to supply chain engineering and manufacturing and ensure smooth handover to the operational organization
- Support the R&D organization in continuously improving the processes and ways of working towards increasingly lean and agile methods

Your Background:
- University degree in a technical field (Electrical Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering Computer Science or similar) with >5 years of experience
- > 3 years of technical project management experience including full lifecycle developments; all aspects from initial research & development specifications development concept development design testing & validation qualification and industrialization
- Experience in product development project management in a multisite and global team environment
- Good knowledge of Scrum framework or similar AgileLean stage gate frameworks
- Experience in EV charging is a plus
- Experience of product development projects in the Automotive industry using or knowledge of APQP (incl. D/PFMEA) is a plus
- Strong team and leadership skills
- Proactive creative & problem solving person with resistance to stressful situations
- Work very well independently and have a strong selfmotivation
- Willingness to travel
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
