Located at the corner of University and Mill Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU amplifies Tempes revitalized downtown area and brings some of the largest conference and meeting space to the city. The hotel features 330 guest rooms four dining outlets a spacious pool deck retail and almost 36000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space along with expansive views of the ASU campus and the Tempe cityscape. Job Description
Join the team at Neighborhood Services located at the Omni Tempe Hotel where exceptional dining experiences are crafted with a focus on quality and genuine hospitality. We are seeking an experienced and serviceoriented Server to deliver memorable dining experiences for our guests. As a Server you will embody the spirit of warmth and attentiveness ensuring every guest enjoys seamless and personalized service. Whether recommending menu items or creating a welcoming atmosphere you will contribute to the high standards and reputation of Neighborhood Services. We are looking for someone who is available for primarily AM (breakfast and lunch) shifts with occasional needs for PM (dinner) shifts.
Responsibilities
- Acknowledge and greet all guests anticipate guest needs and respond to guest inquiries or requests.
- Provide outstanding service to members and guests in a friendly and professional manner following proper steps of service.
- Must maintain full familiarity with menus and knowledge of beverage offerings including wine service.
- Complete station setup and breakdown/sidework.
- Polish and clean all water glassware on assigned station during each shift.
- Take food and beverage orders and upsell as often as possible.
- Be pleasant smile and greet all guests using surnames when obtained.
- Send orders using MICROS systems.
- Communicate with culinary team regarding meal requirements allegories dietary needs and special requests.
- Alert Restaurant Manager immediately if a guest has a suggestion complaint or issue.
- Present accurate check to guests and process payment.
- Assist in seating guests and answering phones for restaurant as needed.
- Cross train among other food and beverage outlets as needed.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the restaurant manager.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of serving experience high volume & casual environment preferred.
- Must adhere and agree to compensation acknowledgement and tip reporting guidelines.
- Must have knowledge of wine spirits and beer.
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Maintain a professional business appearance attitude and performance.
- Must have unexpired Food Handlers obtain upon hire.
- Must be able to lift push pull place and carry objects weighing up to 50lbs.
*This position is a parttime onsite position with no work from home flexibility.
