First (Days)Overview:
SMG Family Medicine in Williamsburg VA is now hiring a full Referral Coordinator. This is a remote position; however candidates must reside in Virginia.
The Referral Coordinator provides a direct link between patients primary care providers specialty providers and insurance companies. Coordinates referral process from primary care providers as well as preauthorization approvals for and other services as ordered by provider.
Education:
- High School Diploma required.
Experience:
- One year of Health Insurance Plans required.
- One year of experience with insurance verification/referral processing preferred.
- Knowledge of EPIC preferred.
- Medical terminology preferred.
- Knowledge of Medicare Medicaid and thirdparty payers.
- Proficient in use of computers and excellent organizational skills.
