As we are heading into AMP 8 we are very excited to announce that we have an amazing opportunity to join our Water Network Contract & Highways team as a Delivery Engineer Site inspector.

As a Delivery Engineer Site Inspector your main purpose will be to proactively manage contract performance and compliance and manage repair and Maintenance R&M processes for the Southern Water region & supporting functions.
You will be liaising with customers stakeholders and business partners as applicable regarding the R&M contracts while mitigating reputational & financial goals within Southern Water relating to contractual management.
Additional training will be provided to fulfil this role.
Problem Solving:
- Management of Contractor performance via southern water/ Service Providers reporting mechanisms. (Ellipse/Waterworx/GEOMAPS)
- County focal point of contact (all functions) for R&M related issues.
- Manage R&M defects for Southern Water & the contractor/Service Providers.
- Verification & challenge of defect work orders. Processing of defect paperwork submitted agreement or challenge from the service providers.
- Verification & work completion check & challenge as appropriate in regard to Burst Main activities document & manage within the database tracker (Yr. end Auditable trail).
- Early Warning Noticing (EWN) relating to highcost inclusion Traffic Management/Large Excavations
Accountabilities:
- Involvement of R&M related issues across Southern Water and provision of advice regarding R&M specification.
- Point of contact within each area.
- Proactive Management of Contractor Performance & Compliance: Ensure contractors meet performance standards and comply with regulations.
- Management of repair & maintenance (R&M) Processes: Oversee R&M processes for the Southern Water region and support functions.
- Liaison with Customers Stakeholders & Business Partners: Maintain effective communication and relationships regarding R&M contracts.
- Mitigation of Reputational & Financial Goals: Manage contractual aspects to protect Southern Waters reputation and financial interests.
Knowledge:
- Technical understanding Southern waters & industry related standards.
- Commercial Effectiveness and Business Expertise
- Reporting & recordkeeping skills Tracking Sheet (Clancy Depotnet) review & auditable processing with a view to keeping SWs financial liability to a minimum.

- Manage contractor performance by understanding the R&M contract & manage risk to the Business by identifying noncompliance and trends in noncompliance.

Experience and Qualifications:
Good allround operational experience in the water operations field will be an advantage.
Qualifications:
- Driving licence
- Street works qualifications/Licence
- Good computer skills an advantage
