Job Description
Afghan Community Intake Specialist
Join our team as an Intake Specialist to complete intake processes with new clients ensuring efficiency and compliance with organizational standards.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Afghan Community Intake Specialist: $ 55000.00
Full time benefits include Medical Dental Vision 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
Afghan Community Intake Specialist Responsibilities Include:
- Complete intakes and case closure for eligible Afghan population.
- Provide administrative duties for client assistance process.
- Maintain accurate records of client assessments.
- Work in partnership with Peer Support Specialists throughout service period.
- Participate at community enrollment fairs and service events operated by the program.
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss client needs and best practices.
- Ensure language and cultural competency in support of program.
- Performs other jobrelated duties as assigned.AS1LW2
Afghan Community Intake Specialist Experience Education Skills Abilities requested:
- One year experience in social work counseling or related fields preferred.
- Bilingual or Multilingual: (Pashto and/or Dari) communication skills are required.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively via oral and written means.
- Ability to present a positive demeanor to individuals their families staff supportive services personnel and the general public.
- Ability to travel between various local working locations.
- Ability to remain calm during difficult circumstances and emergencies.
- Advanced knowledge of social adjustment services.
- Proficient in utilizing Outlook Word Teams Excel and PowerPoint.
- Must pass preemployment requirements of Cherokee Federal.
