Position Qualifications

We recognize your time is valuable so please apply if you meet the following required qualifications:

Education

  • Associates degree.

Experience

  • One 1 year of specialized administrative experience in human resources.

OR

Combined education and experience qualifications

  • Three 3 years of specialized administrative experience in human resources may substitute for theminimum qualifications.

Other requirements

  • Must possess a valid Arizona drivers license or have the ability to obtain by the time of hire.

  • Training that may be provided onthejob: FEMA NIMS IS100 and 700; Safety; Payroll; PREA.

  • Prior to hiring the Sheriffs Office requires that all candidates pass a background review.

Our Preferred Candidate has

  • Five 5 years of experience in a Human Resources environment processing new hires onboarding and offboarding.

Compensation is more than a salary with MCSO:

Work occurs primarily indoors working in MCSO jail facilities with various staff and all classifications of inmates.

This is an inoffice working position (teleworking is not available). Work occurs indoors and outdoors. Use of a vehicle and walking approximately four 4 street blocks. Tasks require managing time pressures and high work volumes with concentration and accuracy. Position requires ethical conduct and a professional demeanor.

Typically successful candidates are hired at a salary rate up to midpoint of the range based on applicable experience internal equity and budgetary allowances.
