This position will be located at the East Hanover NJ site and will not have the ability to be located remotely. This position will require about 510 travel as defined by the business (domestic). Please note that this role would not provide relocation and only local candidates will be considered.As a Senior Analyst in the Government Reporting group you will be primarily responsible for the calculation analysis and submission of one or more of the following pricing calculations on a timely basis: Average Manufacture Price (AMP) Best Price (BP) Public Health Services (PHS) pricing Average Sales Price (ASP) NonFederal Average Manufacturer Price (NonFAMP) Federal Ceiling Price (FCP) and/or State Price Transparency Reporting. The role reports to the Manager of Government Reporting and involves independent work multitasking and managing timelines.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Calculations and Submissions perform validate and support manager with analysis and preparation of documents for submission of federal and state program filings as well as of all components of government pricing under various government programs including Medicaid Medicare the Veterans Healthcare Act and State Price Transparency Reporting
- Communication provides clear communication to all participants including management customers and government agencies
- Compliance ensures accuracy and timeliness of price calculations to ensure compliance with government regulations; maintains SOPs SOX documentation calculation policies and methodologies
- Interdepartmental Collaboration coordinates process of procuring existing and new data for inclusion into price calculations
- Strategic Partnering assists associates and management in developing and executing recommendations in key strategic and tactical areas which impact pricing calculations to support long and shortterm business goals.
- Project Management serves as a secondary business lead or a supporting role on government pricing related projects; function as an integral part of a team on government pricing related projects to help build a reputation of credibility trustworthiness and accuracy
- Multiple ad hoc analytical deliverables
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelors degree required
- 2 years of Finance or relevant experience; pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills for business partnering as well as the ability to present before varied audiences
- Accountability for identifying problems and opportunities and making actionable recommendations
- Proven analytical and decisionmaking skills with the ability to manipulate and interpret data and trends with high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently prioritize workload and manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
- Proficiency with Outlook and MS Office applications including Word Excel and PowerPoint capabilities
- Important competencies include teamwork problemsolving collaboration timemanagement and attentiontodetail
- Ability to research and respond to complex customer issues with reasoned judgment
- Ability to work in a matrixed organization and oversee expectations across different stakeholders
Desirable Requirements:
- Degree subject area in Finance Economics or Accounting preferred
- Proficiency with life science applications. Model N and/or SAP a plus
Novartis Compensation and Benefit Summary: The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between: $85400.00 and $158600.00/year; however while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/25 through 12/31/25 fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further final pay determinations will depend on various factors including but not limited to geographical location experience level knowledge skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements including a signon bonus restricted stock units and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as vacation sick time and parental leave) dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired employee will be in an atwill position and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time including for reasons related to individual performance Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
