Versatile Technologist

Company:

Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is seeking Versatile Technologists to support the Information Technology team in Hazelwood Missouri! This role will support the Advanced Composites Center (ACC). The Aerospace Composites Center has stateoftheart enabled capabilities and operates to support Boeings Fighter Programs. The successful candidate will support modernization and sustainment activities of ACC IT infrastructure including servers storage networking and SaaS platforms.

Position Responsibilities:

• Identifies computing requirements and confers on system needs
• Performs a multidisciplined range of technical systems and application activities
• Installs configures and maintains multiplatform systems hardware software and components
• Develops designs integrates and maintains all computer applications
• Prepares release planning for software and hardware across the system
• Ensures system conforms with architectural objectives
• Evaluates complex systems production readiness and supportability
• Performs the restoration of routine to complex computing service operations
• Integrates security solutions into information systems
• Other duties as assigned such as I.E help desk second level special projects

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 5 years experience administering hardware software and network systems

• Strong analytic problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Experience administering Microsoft Windows Server
• Experience with two or more of the following platforms: VMware vSphere Cisco Networking Microsoft Exchange Server Palo Alto Firewalls Dell Networker
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise language for diverse audiences

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Technical Bachelors Masters or a PhD degree (A technical degree is defined as any fouryear degree or greater in a mathematic scientific or information technology field of study)
• Experience with Dell storage products including Unity DataDomain and PowerVault product lines
• Experience with project management
• Experience with Solarwinds HCO
• One or more of the following certifications: Cisco CCNA CompTIA Network CompTIA Security VMware VCP

Additional Information:

This role may be required to work evenings nights and weekends as needed.
