Job Description

Adelphi is seeking a Medical Technologist to provide services at a facility in Chicago Illinois. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive laboratory services and perform a broad range of diagnostic tests and procedures across multiple laboratory disciplines in compliance with established policies and regulations.

Requirements:

Active unrestricted license in any U.S. state or territory

Bachelor s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science from a NAACLS-accredited program

Certification from ASCP or AMT

BLS (AHA)

Minimum of one year of relevant experience within the last three years

Responsibilities:

Perform automated and manual tests in chemistry urinalysis hematology serology bacteriology and immunohematology.

Evaluate specimen suitability; request replacements as needed.

Conduct and monitor test procedures using lab instruments and manual techniques.

Identify equipment malfunctions and perform corrective actions.

Perform quality control calibration and maintenance of lab instruments.

Analyze test results and correlate findings with clinical data.

Communicate critical results to physicians.

Enter and verify laboratory data in the VA information system.

Support specimen collection and provide clerical/administrative support as needed.

Maintain effective communication and customer service with patients and staff.

Any other duties as assigned.
