Job Description & Summary
At PwC our people in audit and assurance focus on providing independent and objective assessments of financial statements internal controls and other assurable information enhancing the credibility and reliability of this information with a variety of stakeholders. They evaluate compliance with regulations including assessing governance and risk management processes and related controls.
Those in internal audit at PwC help build optimise and deliver endtoend internal audit services to clients in all industries. This includes IA function setup and transformation cosourcing outsourcing and managed services using AI and other risk technology and delivery models. IA capabilities are combined with other industry and technical expertise in areas like cyber forensics and compliance to address the full spectrum of risks. This helps organisations to harness the power of IA to help the organisation protect value and navigate disruption and obtain confidence to take risks to power growth.

Key skills and responsibilities:
The role will support the advisory business development and delivery with Financial Services clients in areas including:
- Enhancing process and controls around cash liquidity and market risk management.
- Optimising balance sheet management activities and improved ALCO and Board reporting.
- Benchmarking Treasury function effectiveness including providing detailed review of policies and procedures.
- Designing and implementing Treasury Target Operating Models transformation in line with good peer practice.
- Performing second and third line oversight of Treasury activities.
- Leading Treasury regulatory and management change.
- Supporting system enhancement assessment of functionality selecting system vendors rollingout related functionality and associated technology.
The daily responsibilities of the role include:
Reviewing and providing input on client key risks and controls particularly in relation to liquidity and cash flow management
- Supporting the development of treasury management solutions for our clients.
- Assisting in the planning and coordination of client projects while collaborating with delivery teams and internal & external stakeholders.
- Aiding in the preparation of reports and presenting findings to client senior management teams.
- Helping prepare business cases and costbenefit analyses in support of projects.
- Participating in business development activities including marketing and sales initiatives.
- Building and fostering relationships within a network of client contacts.
Essential skills:
- Hands on experience in a Treasury and/or Liquidity role either at a financial services company a corporate or in an advisory capacity.
- Technical skills on Treasury areas such as liquidity management cash management FX and market rate risk treasury operations reporting and controls.
- Knowledge of the banking sector is important with a preference for candidates who also have experience in the insurance sector
- Good written numerical and verbal communication skills
- Strong relationship management skills as well as experience in managing teams.
- Experience of problem solving and being able to implement and deliver solutions tailored to a clients needs.
- Furthermore any working knowledge of Treasury Management Systems would be beneficial (optional).
Client management:
- Develop strong working relationships with the client teams.
- Maintain excellent rapport and proactive communication with the stakeholders and clients.
Operational excellence:
- Suggest ideas on improving engagement productivity including through the use of technology and identify opportunities for improving client service.
- Ensure compliance with engagement plans and internal quality and risk management procedures.
People related:
- Display teamwork integrity and leadership. Work with team members to set goals and responsibilities for specific engagements.

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelors/Masters Degree in Commerce / Economics / MBA/ BBA (or) Chartered Accountant. Part completed and studying towards ACT FRM or CFA will be a bonus.
- At least four years experience of Treasury management within financial services or corporates.
- Experience in similar consulting role preferably with a Big 4 or equivalent will be highly valued.
- Knowledge of UK banking regulations on capital and liquidity is desired but not essential.
