The opportunity

As a Senior Electrical Project Engineer you will work on cuttingedge projects involving Substation FACTS and STATCOM technologies. You will play a crucial role in advancing sustainable energy solutions ensuring more power reaches customers with minimal environmental impact. How youll make an impact

  • Design and execute projects in line with customer specifications and global standards.

  • Create work plans and cost estimates ensuring quality deliverables.

  • Lead the development of innovative solutions for complex projects.

  • Prepare manufacturing documents and design drawings for FACTS plants.

  • Coordinate electrical engineering across multiple projects.

  • Conduct risk and opportunity assessments implementing resulting actions.

  • Provide technical support for testing installation and commissioning.

  • Interact directly with customers officials contractors and supply chain.

Your background

  • BS/./Ph.D in Electrical Engineering and 5 or more years of relevant experience.

  • Experience with FACTS or HV transmission substation solutions required.

  • Knowledge of National Electric Code and ANSI/IEEE requirements.

  • Control and Protection panel design experience preferred.

  • Relay configuration knowledge is a plus.

  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.

  • Candidates may be required to travel from 1 to 4 months to Sweden for specialized training.
